| Who Am I? |
| Hi, my name is Jim Kline and I am Corporate Finance Professional seeking a Director level Financial Planning and Analysis position with a medium to large size organization. I have strong analytical skills and financial skills combined with a exemplary supply chain operations and staff background. My unique combination of skills makes me an extremely qualified candidate for organizations going through transition or the ones that want to beat their competition on a daily basis. My background is supported by a Bachelors of Science in Business Logistics and an MBA from Penn State University. |
| Career Connection |
| Career Connection is a great career and job search group in the Dallas Metroplex area. They have helped tens of thousands of people over the years find themselves and the next career move. While not a charity, the costs are very reasonable $10 to join, $10/month and they offer programming, jobsearch help, some counseling, and even a cup of Joe. The goup meets 10-12AM Tuesday Mornings (9:00 for newbies orientation) @ Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church (Don't worry no one is going to make you pray).

| Dennis Smith |
| Dennis writes a blog for the talent aquisition portion of T-Mobile.
Yes he is a company flack, but he is a good kind of company flack.
(And no, I am not trying to suck up to him for a fee account, job, or even the latest phone, although I would accept all 3).

As it is often said, All good things must come to an end. Of course there is also the corallaries to that in All bad things must come to an end, All bad things must have a start, and the most hopefull All good things must have a start.
What does that have to do with anything... well as of Friday, I transitioned out of NBC and KXAS Channel 5 in Dallas. To say the least, it was not going the direction I had hoped it was going to go, and with all of the issues, problems brought on by circumstances some within our collective control and some beyond (writers strike, market issues, etc) it probly was not going the direction the station wanted it to go either.
Well, I guess I just found the time and motivation to revive this Blog, write about my experiences in finding the next great thing, and how I will keep it together in the interim.
I stepped out of my position not having something to go in to, no real design and plan of what to do next, but confident in my abilities to survive, come up with my next role, and determine where to make changes in my life, and lifestyle. I have some ideas, a lot of great friends that I keep making along the way, somehow we will all figure it out.
Today my blog entry will be a little short, I have had a full day of restarting my association with Career Connection. I need to some job search foundation work, spend some time thinking and getting my life in order. I need a little time to decompress and re-orient myself for the tasks ahead.
Look forward to more to come.Labels: Job search |
