| Career Connection is a great career and job search group in the Dallas Metroplex area. They have helped tens of thousands of people over the years find themselves and the next career move. While not a charity, the costs are very reasonable $10 to join, $10/month and they offer programming, jobsearch help, some counseling, and even a cup of Joe. Yes he is a company flack, but he is a good kind of company flack.
(And no, I am not trying to suck up to him for a fee account, job, or even the latest phone, although I would accept all 3).

| A note Indeed |
| Tuesday, August 01, 2006 |
Not that I am shilling for the contacts, but I got a great note from the a Marketing Manager at Indeed.com today. I guess these folks are really out there reading the blogosphere.
Here it is:
Hi Jim,
I found your blog today and wanted to thank you for writing about Indeed.com. I’m glad you like it! Here’s a couple tips you might find useful in your job search:
Use the “Advanced Search” feature located next to the “Find Jobs” button. You’ll be able to specify exact keywords, company name and even distance from location you’re willing to travel. You can also use the “Refinements” setting located in the left margin. This margin will give you a breakdown of Companies, locations and job types related to your search Click on the “More Actions” link located at the end of any job listing you’re interested in. This will provide you with some very useful links that will help give you some background information on the company, salary, networking and location.
Hope that helps and thanks again for the recognition!
Sincerely, Sophie
Indeed one search. all jobs.
So I guess people do read Blogs. Now if it will help me find a job I will be in better shape.
Thanks for the note Sophie!!! |
