Last night ran in to a friend I had not seen in a few months if not a year and he was asking how I was doing as 7-11. Regretfully I let him know I had departed.
The next words out of his mouth was we need someone with your background. We have terrible inventory problems and I think you are the person that can solve them. Get a resume to me in the morning, and I will take it to my boss the President of the Company.
Life is strange. I have been getting quite a few inquiries for my logistics/supply chain background lately rather than just my finance side of the world. I'm starting to believe having a hard core operations side of me may yet be of benefit.
If nothing else, I learned to talk to everyone, you never know where the next opportunity might just come from. |
