While I must admit I have an understanding wife and wonderfully adjusted teenage children, sometimes they forget that looking for a job is a full time job in itself.
They try to give dad some space but don't really understand why is dad going to meetings, lunches, meeting people for coffee at 4 bucks when he doesn't even drink coffee. Of course, in reality what they are really saying is "Why do I have to take the bus, you really aren't doing anything important anyway".
Of course there is allays the ballet lessons, movies with friends, school club meetings (even though it is summer) and other activities they need to go to. My spouse had to leave town so I worked out a schedule of who had to be where and when. At that point I realized I need to change my name. From now on my last name is Andropov, and my First will be Anpikup.
Yes, I am now known as Anpikup Andropov, the Russian chauffeur. |
