Dr Pepper Museum - Waco, Texas - Home of Dr Pepper
Spent the day touring the DP museum today with my wife and children. We enjoyed touring around. Interesting place. We went out in the square and I knew a few of the people that had dedicated bricks. Most of the them I knew from my time as a contractor at Dr Pepper- 7-Up. Mike McGrath was President when I was there and John Tomesko was a SVP Bottler Sales (?) . I thought a lot of both of them.
Of course the trip was not all fun, we took my mother-out-law in to Waco to visit her half sister and brother-in-law. Dealing with octogenarian plus is not easy especially when they see the river Styx in the front windshield and it is getting closer all the time. Add dementia to the mix and you understand where we were.
I hope I have the courage to accept what will happen to me when I get to that point, understand aging is a process and it is not all good (nor is it all bad) and be able to accept that I will not always be able to do the things I can do today. |
